Teresa L. Hedgewife
I've been following a Heathen path, as best I can, since learning the resurrection of the Old World Gods was actually taking place in the world.
In 2003, after meeting others with similar beliefs, Kiefernwald Sippe was formed.
Since then I've attended a few Moots and spent an exciting weekend exploring the runes with Freya Aswynn. Not to mention all the READING I've done!
I enjoy researching the wild plants around me, the more common the better, and spend a lot of time researching for and writing essays about plants. I have had several essays published in both "Idunna, A Journal of the Northern Tradition" and "Hex Magazine".
Locally I've contributed many hours to helping Pagan Pride Day in Savannah, Georgia, where Kiefernwald Sippe has conducted opening rites and children's craft classes since 2004, and I have personally done so since 2005.
Currently I serve as the 2008 PPD Fundraiser and moderate 2 chat lists: The Savannah Pagan Meetup and the Coastal Empire Asatru Meetup.
I also serve as a Gythia and officiate at Land Taking, Naming, Wedding and other ceremonies.
Proudly, I am currently serving as the Georgia Steward for The Troth, and I'm also serving as the Florida steward until another can be found.

When Teresa first told me some Heathens were coming to the house, I asked her if she realized that was a motorcyle gang. Well, she informed me that maybe it was - but these Heathens were pursuing spirituality -- not bugs in their teeth.
Since then I have attended a few Moots with the Kindred and acquired several sharp hand weapons and a hammer for my neck.
I've also learned to brew beer and mead and enjoy breaking out the grill when folks come to visit.

I was born and raised in Georgia and found my way to Heathenry in June of 2004. I am -proudly- a member of the Troth and have, in the past, been both a forum/email list moderator there and a contributor to the Heathen Almanac.
My husband, Jake (our most recent addition to Kiefernwald Sippe), and I have been together for three years, and I'm more than proud to call him husband. I have a wonderful daughter named Logan who has officially turned into a teenager! I feel so old.
I have played part in several of Savannah's Pagan Pride Day celebrations since 2003, including workshops for children and assisting Teresa in the opening ceremony.
Hobbies:
World of Warcraft, t.v., movies, thinking about reading

It has been an interesting ride for me to find my way. Since I can remember, all the way back to my tweens or so, signs have been popping up showing me where I should be heading. I “officially” considered myself heathen oh I don’t know sometime early 2000.
I has spoken with a couple of well known heathens since then and they only strengthen my commitment to the Aesir and Vanir. I was contacted by Teresa when I came to Georgia. Since then it has been a huge learning experience for lore and others perspectives.
Being in the Army has taken me away from the sippe physically but not spiritually. I continue to be active within the sippe as much as possible, and cannot wait to come “home.”
