The Troth

We in the Troth practice the Germanic/Norse religion of Heathenry, commonly referred to as Asatru. We realize that there are many variations, names, and practices in Germanic Heathenry, including Theodism, Irminism, Odinism, and Anglo-Saxon Heathenry. spindleNbroom: The Way of the Handmaidens

Frigga is known as the Spinner. The stars known as Orion's belt are sometimes called Frigga's spindle or Frigga's distaff. She is said to "spin the battle from afar". As one who helps your family and community, knowing how to spin the battle from afar could really come in handy. I have found in Frigga and the Handmaidens associated with her, ready Teachers who show many ways to enhance the lives of those I hold dear. Think of this group as a learning co-op, dedicated to understanding more about Frigga and the Handmaidens associated with her: Syn, Fulla, Gna, Var, Lofn, Eir, Sjofn, Hlin, Saga, Gefjon, Snotra and Vor. We are about: Goddess, Magic, Hearth, Home, Family, Lore, Nature Spirits, Earth, Folk Remedies, Kitchen Witchery, and Runes.
